LINCOLN — Teams and individuals from Classes B, C and D punched their tickets to next week’s NSAA Boys Golf State Championships at district tournaments across the state on Monday.

Class B

At York Country Club, junior Jaxson Hinze of York fired a 6-under-par 65 to earn medalist honors in the B-2 District and lead the Dukes to a team championship with a score of 319. Mount Michael Benedictine (326) and Elkhorn (328) also advanced to state. Gering’s John Maser placed third individually with a 74, while Blair’s Jackson Schroeder, Omaha Gross Catholic’s Trevor Ross, and York’s Zach Alt also qualified.

At the B-3 District at Pioneers Golf Course in Lincoln, Norris won the team title with a 299, led by Landon Moore (72), Turner Hoffman (73) and Thomas Hansmeyer (75). Bennington (307) and Waverly (312) also earned team qualifications. Bennington’s Reid Thornburg and Gretna East’s William Barth tied for individual medalist honors with rounds of 71.

At Jackrabbit Run in Grand Island for B-4, Scottsbluff senior GrahamNoah Shaddick shot a 68 to win the district and lead the Bearcats to a second-place team finish. Elkhorn North took the team title with a 302, and McCook (306) also advanced. Elkhorn North’s Andrew Nietfeldt shot a 69 to finish second individually, while Holdrege’s Zachary Ptacnik and O’Neill’s James Eby tied for 10th with 77s.

Class C

At Crandall Creek for the C-5 District, Ogallala’s Rylan Gilmore took individual honors with a 73. Amherst won the team title at 342, led by Cope Smith (79) and Kyler Jones (84). Ogallala (346) and Perkins County (351) rounded out the team qualifiers. Hemingford’s Jacob Bryner and Chadron’s Tobin Landen also earned individual bids.

Class D

At Lake Maloney Golf Course in North Platte, Brayden Melchert of Hitchcock County shot a 77 to top the D-5 District field. His teammate Jack Baker (82) also qualified, and the Falcons finished tied for second in team standings. North Platte St. Patrick’s won the district title with a 358, led by freshman Benjamin Hankla (86). Sutherland also shot 363 to qualify as a team. Crawford’s Rhett Flack (83), Dundy County Stratton’s Dante Horner (81), and Mullen’s Benjamin Werner (82) rounded out the top five individuals.

The 2025 NSAA Boys State Golf Championships will be held May 28–29. Class B will compete at Monument Shadows Golf Course in Gering, Class C at Jackrabbit Run Golf Course, and Class D atQuail Run Golf Course.
