EUGENE, Ore. — Nebraska freshman Karsyn Leeling delivered a top-five finish in the women’s high jump Sunday as the Husker track and field teams wrapped up the weekend at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Oregon.

Leeling, a native of Sidney, Neb., cleared 5-11 ¼ to place fifth in the conference and help the Husker women to a fourth-place team finish with 73 points. Leeling was part of a dominant showing for Nebraska in the high jump, with teammate Jenna Rogers winning the event at 6-0 ½. Brooklyn Miller placed sixth, while Riley Masten and Ela Velepec tied for 10th.

Leeling's performance continues a strong spring for the Panhandle product, who has consistently placed among the best in the Big Ten this season.

On the men’s side, Nebraska finished fifth with 76 points. Highlighting Sunday’s competition was Maddie Harris, who claimed her third Big Ten title in the women’s javelin with a throw of 58.38 meters (191-6), and Maxwell Otterdahl, who placed third in the men’s discus with a personal-best 59.12 meters (193-11), improving his No. 9 mark in school history.

Other standout performances included Kalynn Meyer’s fourth-place finish in the women’s shot put (17.43m, 57-2 ¼), Ali Bainbridge running the second-fastest 5000m time in school history (15:54.16), and Jacelyn Neighbors earning sixth in the women’s pole vault (4.03m, 13-2 ½).
