OGALLALA — Chase County dominated both the boys and girls divisions at the NSAA Class B6 District Track and Field Meet in Ogallala on Tuesday, qualifying numerous athletes for state and capturing both team titles.

The Chase County girls won the team title with 105 points, edging out McCook (100) and Sidney (58). On the boys’ side, Chase County topped the standings with 106 points, ahead of Gothenburg (96) and Cozad (83).

Sidney’s Landon Riddle and Lance Holly both qualified in the 100 meters. Holly also punched his ticket in the 400 meters, finishing second in 48.87 seconds. Riddle helped lead the Red Raiders’ 4x100 relay team to a district title in 42.113 seconds, just off the Class B record of 42.11 set by Waverly in 2023.

Sidney’s Kash Knobbe and Keian Kaiser both advanced in the boys high jump with matching marks of 6-3.

Sidney's girls relay teams also qualified in the 4x100 and 4x400 events.

Sidney’s Kylee Kampfe won the girls triple jump (35-2.75), and Reagan Nesbitt advanced in both shot put and discus.

For McCook, Josiah Wilkinson was a double-winner on the boys side, capturing gold in both the 400 and 800 meters, while the Bison girls’ 4x800 relay team won in 9:37.34.

Notable qualifiers included Gothenburg's Tyler Hetz (1600, 3200), Ogallala's Shaydyn Rasby (hurdles), and Chadron's Addisyn Gruver (sprints, long jump).

The 2025 NSAA Class B State Track and Field Championships are May 21-22 in Omaha.
