Scottsbluff man enters no-contest on January 2025 chase-related charges

Sentencing set for July 7 in Bridgeport
BRIDGEPORT -- A Scottsbluff man was found guilty of charges including Operating a Vehicle to Avoid Citation, Theft by Receiving Stolen Property and Criminal Mischief.
Sentencing is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. July 7 in Morrill County District Court. Steen also has charges pending from Scotts Bluff County.
In January of this year, Jeremie Steen led authorities on a pursuit from Gering to Bridgeport in a stolen car. Steen was stopped in Bridgeport after the vehicle he was driving was disabled.
On May 5, Steen appeared in Morrill County District Court. The Court was informed that a plea agreement had been reached and the agreement was outlined to the Court, according to court records.
He was found guilty before the Honorable Andrea Miller in Morrill County District Court.
Steen was facing 13 charges. Ten of the charges were dismissed.
