SIDNEY — Seniors from across the southern Nebraska Panhandle will represent their programs one final time in June at the annual West Nebraska All-Star Football and Volleyball Games in Scottsbluff.

The 47th football game will be played Saturday, June 8, at Scottsbluff High School's Bearcat Stadium with kickoff at 11 a.m. The 41st volleyball match will follow at 3 p.m. at Western Nebraska Community College’s Cougar Palace.

Sidney and Scottsbluff lead area schools with five selections to the West football roster. The Raiders are represented by Austin Christensen, Reid Fiscus, Owen Gillham, Shane Lilley and Patrick McCartney. They’ll be joined by Bridgeport's Cole Katen. The West will be coached by Chad Dormann of Garden County, with Sidney’s Scot Anderson assisting.

On the volleyball side, Sidney’s Kayla Westby, Leyton’s Kaydence Haupt and Shawnee Gamble, Aubrey Watts from Bridgeport, and Garden County's Payton Fornander highlight the West roster. The West All-Stars will be led by Leyton's Natasha Haupt.
