SIDNEY, Neb. - One of Sidney's most nostalgic summer traditions returns in early June.

Radio stations 987 The Big Boy and Cheyenne County Country announced Thursday Cruisin' Night 2025 will roll through historic downtown on Friday, June 6 from 6 to 9 p.m.

"Cruisin' Night feels like a celebration of small-town life," Station Manager and Morning Show Host Hunter Arterburn said. "School is out for the summer, there's warm weather freedom and music that takes you back to your days of cruising main street when you were in school."

The free, family-friendly event invites car lovers, community members and music fans to line Illinois Street or get behind the wheel of their vehicle, favorite classic car, truck or even tractor for a night of oldies, sweet treats and community fun.

"Whether you’re behind the wheel or just waving from the sidewalk, it’s one of the most feel-good nights of the year around here," Arterburn said.

Organized in partnership with Maddox Motor Company, Cruisin’ Night will transform the heart of Sidney into a rolling showcase of chrome, horsepower and timeless music for the 24th consecutive year. Listeners will hear vintage hits and live shoutouts on KSID 98.7 FM, 1340 AM and 95.7 FM throughout the evening. Programming will also be available on thebigboy987.com, the News Channel Nebraska app or by telling Alexa to "play 987 The Big Boy."

In addition to the cruise itself, visitors can expect giveaways, car displays and a festive atmosphere to help kick off summer vacation.
