Fort Morgan woman arrested in ongoing cocaine distribution investigation

FORT MORGAN, Colo. – A Fort Morgan woman has been arrested following a months-long drug investigation into alleged cocaine distribution within the community, according to the Fort Morgan Police Department.
Jade Montoya, 24, surrendered to authorities earlier this week after a judge issued a warrant for her arrest. Investigators allege Montoya conspired with others to sell cocaine in the Fort Morgan area. Detectives say the investigation provided insight into the operation and identified multiple individuals believed to be involved.
Montoya was initially ordered held without bond until her advisement hearing. Following her appearance in court, a judge set her bond at $10,000 cash or surety.
The Fort Morgan Police Department emphasized that the investigation remains ongoing. Additional arrests or charges may be possible as the case develops.
“All charges are simply an accusation by law enforcement, and all parties must be presumed innocent until proven guilty in court,” the department said in a statement.
