BPS names Ava Lovitt Head Volleyball Coach

BEATRICE, Neb. - Beatrice has found the new leader of their volleyball program. 

On Tuesday, Activities Director Gus Brown named Ava Lovitt as Head Coach of Beatrice Volleyball. Lovitt is a former Beatrice Public Schools student and volleyball player. A class of 2021 graduate of Diller-Odell, Lovitt was a two-time volleyball state champion in high school. After high school, she continued her volleyball career on the collegiate level, playing for Hastings College where she was named a captain. 

Lovitt will graduate from Peru State College with a degree in early elementary education and will be teaching at Beatrice Elementary School. 

Lovitt currently coaches the Beatrice Middle School club volleyball team.
