Blizzard warnings have been issued for much of Nebraska
NEBRASKA -- Nebraska it's not for everyone...especially when Nebraskans see all the seasons in three days. Prepare for another blizzard to hit the state on Wednesday.
The National Weather Service issued blizzard warnings for 57 different counties until 2 p.m. in central Nebraska, and until 7 p.m. in eastern Nebraska.
Forecasters say upwards of six inches of snow could fall, with the heaviest snowfall amounts expected in northeast Nebraska.
But it's not just the snow, winds are expected to gust well over 50 miles per hour.
That's going to create widespread blowing snow that will significantly reduce visibility and make travel almost impossible in much of the state.
The system is expected to move into the state Tuesday evening, bringing initially the threat of thunderstorms before temperatures fall tomorrow.
The winter blast won't stay long though. Forecasters say temperatures are expected to get back up into the 50s and 60s by the weekend.
