OMAHA, Neb. - It's been a long time coming, and a long four years for Omaha Skutt Catholic, but the Skyhawks can finally call themselves state champions.

Kip Colony and Skutt dispatched of Gretna East on Saturday night 37-25 behind five three-pointers and a game high 15 points from Libby Shotkoski.

Points, and made shots, were at a premium as teams combined to shoot just 25% from the field.

The Skyhawks win their first state title after four straight runner up showings, having fallen to Elkhorn North each of the past four seasons.
