LINCOLN - One of the more unheralded teams at the girls state basketball tournament is now playing for a state title.

After upsetting Class A #2 Millard North on Thursday, seven-seed Westside kept their run going, taking down six-seed Bellevue West 47-35.

The Warrior defense made life tough for the Thunderbirds all game, but they ratcheted the pressure up in the fourth quarter, holding West without a point over the final 2:39 of the fourth quarter. The Thunderbirds missed their last nine shots as Westside closed the game on a 12-1 run.

The Warriors now face top-seeded defending champs Millard West in the title game on Friday.
