Kearney cancels school, Grand Island issues snow warning ahead of winter storm
Kearney Public Schools, UNK and the City of Grand Island have all put out news releases in preparation for the weather.

KEARNEY, Ne.- Area organizations are making some last-minute adjustments ahead of the upcoming winter storm.
Kearney Public Schools, UNK and the City of Grand Island have all put out news releases in preparation for the weather.
Kearney Schools will be closed Wednesday, February 12 along with any parent-teacher conferences and other activities. UNK has also cancelled both day and night classes for Wednesday.
Grand Island declared a snow emergency starting 7 p.m. Tuesday, and will remain in effect until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 12.
The city also told citizens to limit traveling when possible, and to avoid parking on any snow emergency routes.
