LINCOLN, Neb. — Lincoln Northeast brought home hardware by avenging a loss earlier this season.

The Rockets held off a late rally to defeat Lincoln North Star 71-69 in the Heartland Athletic Conference Tournament Championship.

North Star erased a 13-point deficit to start the fourth quarter and tied the game with less than 20 seconds to play. Grant Fredericks put Northeast back up by 2 with 5 seconds to go.

Jordan Castor, who led North Star with 22 points, threw up a last second three point shot that fell short and ensured the win for the Rockets.
