KEARNEY, Neb. -- An investigative report filed to the Kearney Police Department is seeking information on a potential assault in Kearney over the weekend.

The allegations claim two students at the University of Nebraska-Kearney were walking west from downtown towards a home near the UNK campus.

While the details are still murky, the victims say they were assaulted in the area of 23rd Street between 5th and 6h Avenue at around 1:00 a.m. Saturday.

They were seen on video at approximately 12:45 a.m. near Deterdings, located at 2121 2nd Ave.

They say they ran for help and found someone who was able to assist and she is listed as a witness in the police report. Both victims say they suffered concussions from the attack and are now looking for anyone in the area who may have information.

Surveillance video, witness statements, and any other details would be helpful to the Kearney Police Department.
