Missing Butler County man found dead in Colfax County
Authorities in northeast Nebraska have identified a body that was found on Dec. 11 in Colfax County.
By News Channel NebraskaCOLFAX COUNTY, Neb. -- Authorities in northeast Nebraska have identified a body that was found on Dec. 11 in Colfax County.
The Colfax County Sheriff's Office said the body was found in the area of Road C and Road 12/13, rural Colfax County.
They identified the body as 30-year-old Nathan Johnson, who went missing from Butler County Oct. 28, 2024.
The autopsy results are pending.
This is an active investigation with multiple law enforcement agencies involved: Columbus Police Department, the Colfax County Sheriff's Office, the Platte County Sheriff's Office, the Butler County Sheriff's Office, and the Nebraska State Patrol.
Authorities said they will release more information as it becomes available.
