SCHUYLER, Neb. -- Schuyler Community Schools notified the public that all schools are in Secure Mode as of 9:25 a.m., for the time being.

SCS said that at this time they have a high school student who has left home and may be armed.

They said police are working on finding out where the individual is.

"We have no indications that this student has threatened to harm anyone," SCS wrote. "We are taking all precautions to ensure everyone's safety."

SCS said that no one is allowed in or out of any building during this time, unless it is through the secured front door and identification is verified.
