COLUMBUS, Neb. -- Police in Columbus are investigating a possible threat made at a school. 

It happened at Columbus Middle School Wednesday morning. 

Police said they responded to Columbus Middle School after a verbal threat of violence was made. 

Authorities haven't specified the nature of the threat, but said they have spoken to persons of interest. 

An alert was sent out to middle school parents by Columbus Middle School.
