COLUMBUS, Neb. -- Authorities are investigating yet another fatal aircraft crash in northeast Nebraska.

This one happened near the Platte County town of Duncan Monday afternoon.

Platte County Sheriff's Officials say an experimental ultralight trike glider crashed into the roof of a garage north of Highway 30 in a rural area of the county southwest of Columbus.

The Sheriff's Office says the pilot, 50-year-old David Bower of Columbus, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The NTSB and FAA are assisting the Platte County Sheriff with the investigation.

This is the third fatal crash of an aircraft in Nebraska over the course of a week, following two other crashes that happened just hours apart near Wayne and Crofton last Monday.
