Hotel incident involving knife leads to police making arrest

A man is behind bars after an altercation with a knife in Platte County.

COLUMBUS, Neb. -- A man is behind bars after an altercation with a knife in Platte County.

Columbus police say it happened just after 8:30 Thursday night off Highway 30 on the south side of Columbus at the Sundance Motel.

49-year-old Julio Alberto Lozano faces charges of use of a deadly weapon, terroristic threats, and third-degree assault.

Officers located Lozano in the basement on the property before arresting him.

Lozano is being housed at the Platte County Detention Center.
