LINCOLN, NEB. - Nebraska's own Larry The Cable Guy is getting involved in Lincoln's Professional Bull Riding event this weekend.

Larry The Cable Guy, also known as Dan Whitney, is set to enter his personal bucking bull "Mr. Koolie" as the events $10,000 bounty bull. Mr. Koolie has a record of 47-2.

"He has every trait of a good bucking bull," Whitney said. "He's got the high jumps, the twists, the head moves, and the attitude. He's a perfect professional bull."

PBR is in Lincoln for the fourth time and for the first time since October of 2022. As a Nebraskan, with Nebraska's top industry being farming, Whitney says it means a lot to Nebraskans when rodeo comes to town.

"Nebraska's got a great western lifestyle, so it's great to have an event like this come to town and showcase it," Whitney said. "To be able to pack out PBA with bull riding fans, it's great, gives everyone something a litle different to do on a weekend."

The event is set for this Saturday at 7:00 p.m. at Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln.
