Authorities say body found in Platte County likely that of missing man

The body of a missing man has been located in Platte County.

COLUMBUS, Neb. -- The body of a missing man has been located in Platte County.

According to a news release from the Platte County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a call of possible human remains on Tuesday evening.

Authorities investigated the scene and say they found what they believe is the body of 37-year-old Jake Antonio Clark, a man who went missing more than three months ago. Law enforcement officials found Clark's abandoned car on Dec. 18 near 370th Ave. and Highway 30, which is about 13 miles southwest of Columbus.

Clark's body was located along Prairie Creek, two miles southeast of where the car was abandoned.

This incident remains under investigation.
