Creston woman arrested for theft in Stanton

A woman from Creston was arrested for reportedly taking money from a business in Stanton.

CRESTON, Neb. -- A woman from Creston was arrested for reportedly taking money from a business in Stanton.

The Stanton County Sheriff's Office said they were investigating the theft of several thousands of dollars from a business in Stanton. 

Officers said they discovered that 28-year-old Elizabeth Claren, of Creston, was falsifying business deposits and unlawfully taking cash from her employer.

According to authorities, Claren was arrested Thursday morning and booked at SCSO. She was reportedly released after she posted her $10,000 bond and is scheduled for arraignment later this month.
