Rider seriously injured in accident during horse race

COLUMBUS, Neb. -- A jockey is hospitalized after an accident during a horse race in Columbus. 

The incident happened Saturday evening at AG Park in Columbus. 

Video of the races shows the horse fall with the jockey flipping over and ending up underneath the horse. 

The group Columbus Exposition and Racing shared a post on social media from family of the jockey, who said he was transported to a hospital ICU, where surgery was done to stop a brain bleed. 

Family members said the jockey was sedated and on a ventilator.
