LINCOLN, Neb - Nebraska is readying for their final non-conference game of the year on Saturday as they welcome Louisiana Tech.

Head coach Matt Rhule says Nebraska is confident in backs Anthony Grant and Emmitt Johnson and the entire unit as a whole, despite losing Rahmir Johnson and Gabe Ervin Jr. to season ending injuries. While Rhule still has yet to announce either Heinrich Haarberg or Jeff Sims as Saturday's starter, he talked about his clear thought process to make the decision.

"It's so simple," Rhule said. "It's about who gives us the best chance to win. It's not about whose established this, who's done this this week...It's just about, when we think about what we've done, what we do, what we do this week... Who gives us the best chance to win."

According to Rhule, Jeff Sims did practice for much of the week, having not played since Nebraska's 36-14 loss to Colorado. Heinrich Haarberg led the charge of Nebraska against Northern Illinois throwing for 158 yards and two touchdown's and rushing for 98 yards and a touchdown.

The forecast for Saturday's game calls for the possibility of heavy rain and storms, but Rhule isn't shying away from that sort of a challenge.

"We've gotten lots of reps in the rain and in wet weather doing wet ball drills," Rhule said. "I welcome the rain...I prepared all camp in the rain saying 'guys, when it rains, we do this all time'...we did mat drills in the snow. I hope it's a messy, ugly day. Gives us an opportunity to overcome and show what we can do."

Kick off is set for 2:30 p.m. CT, 1:30 p.m. MT on BTN.
