GRAND ISLAND, Neb. -- An investigation into sexual assault of a child in Boone County has led to the arrest of a Grand Island man.

According to the Nebraska State Patrol, 35-year-old Jesse Voichahoske was arrested after an investigation that began in May.

NSP spokesperson Cody Thomas said troopers received a report from an alleged victim who had stated that they had been sexually assaulted multiple times several years earlier in Boone County.

Thomas said investigators began looking into the case and discovered another possible victim. Both alleged victims were children in their early teens at the time of the reported assaults, which allegedly occurred between 2012 and 2015. The suspect had since moved to Grand Island.

Voichahoske was arrested Thursday on suspicion of first-degree sexual assault and three counts of first-degree sexual assault of a child. He was lodged in Hall County Jail and has since been transferred to Boone County Jail.

The investigation remains ongoing. The Nebraska State Patrol urges any potential victims or anyone with additional information to contact investigators at 402-370-1024.
