SIDNEY - Authorities are investigating a burglary at a Sidney grocery store early Thursday morning.

Sidney Police Chief Joe Aikens says his department responded to a burglar alarm at Sonny's Super Foods, 2020 10th Ave., at 12:41 a.m. An officer observed four suspects inside the grocery store near Legion Park.

One suspect, a male juvenile, was apprehended by the officer at the scene. The three other subjects were able to flee the store and have not been arrested.

Aikens says they're working with store staff to determine the total value of loss at Sonny's and at a second business reported to be broken into.

The incident remains under investigation by Sidney Police and Nebraska State Patrol.
