COLUMBUS, Neb. -- AGCO Corporation announced on Monday they are welcoming True Ag & Turf to its growing dealership network.

According to a press release, True Ag's leadership has come to an agreement to obtain existing Nebraska AGCO dealers Manzer Equipment, Merz Farm Equipment, and West Point Implement of Columbus.

The planned start date is in early July.

AGCO said that True Ag coming to Nebraska will give more sales and services at all of its locations for AGCO's full lineup of popular brands and equipment.

"AGCO is excited about True Ag's introduction to Nebraska farmers," said Bill Hurley, AGCO VP of distribution. "They'll bring full-line access to Massey Ferguson and Fendt, and that means greater precision ag technologies for growers in eastern Nebraska."

The dealerships in Columbus, Falls City, and Osmond will merge under the new True Ag brand, but each location will continue to have the same management and staffing to allow for a seamless transition and to allow for sales and services to customers to continue.

"Maintaining existing relationships and the trust they've built with local farmers is crucial," said Nathan Wisehart, True Ag's CEO. "True Ag will be focused on expanding sales and services in the area by building on the histories and hard work of our predecessors."

Hurley said that the new dealership will allow for full line access to the best of their brands, and it means greater precision ag technologies and services to growers in eastern Nebraska.
