POTTER - Potter-Dix named their new leaders of the girls basketball and play production programs on Tuesday.

Superintendent Chris Arent announced Austin Coffman as the new head girls basketball coach for the Coyotes.

Coffman was an assistant coach in football, girls basketball and track and field this year. He'll be in his second year at Potter-Dix this fall and serves as the K-12 Physical Education teacher. Before becoming a Coyote, Coffman was an assistant girls basketball coach at Pender High School while student teaching.

"Mr. Coffman is ready to begin his duties immediately while working with the team during summer league, open gym and weight room and agility work," Arent said in a press release.

Morgan Boots was named the head play production coach (one act) for the 2023-2024 season, according to Arent. She'll also continue to serve as an Assistant Coach for the Potter-Dix Speech team.

"Boots brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the Play Production program, both as an assistant coach and through her college training," Arent said. "She's thrilled and committed to continuing Potter-Dix’s long tradition of excellence in the Play Production program."
