COLUMBUS, Neb. -- It's going to be a memorable Friday night in Columbus.

The annual Cloud 9 celebration will be underway at the Arc of Platte County.

The celebration is a prom for individuals with special needs.

Attendees will have the opportunity to play games, sing karaoke, dance, and enjoy great food.

Amber Stary, the director of Cloud 9, said the night is a great way for attendees to make friends and enjoy a night to themselves.

"It's inclusion. They get to hang out with people that they normally don't hang out with," she said. "They get to hang out with somebody all night long, and they get to carry on that friendship for the rest of their lives."

Stary said over 200 volunteers help put on the event.
