Schuyler man facing litany of charges related to alleged assault, trafficking of children

A northeast Nebraska man is facing several charges related to the alleged sex trafficking of minors.

SCHUYLER, Neb. – A northeast Nebraska man is facing several charges related to the alleged sex trafficking of minors.

According to the Colfax County Attorney’s Office, 24-year-old Celvin R. Lopez Cabrera of Schuyler was arrested Thursday night. He is accused of sex trafficking of a minor, sexual assault, pandering, child pornography, visually explicit depiction and enticement of a child, and solicitation.

The alleged crimes involved four children aged 14 to 17 years old.

Lopez Cabrera is due in court on Tuesday.

According to the Schuyler Police Department, the ongoing investigation will be forwarded to Colfax County Attorney Bruce J. Prenda.

Prenda said there is no immediate likelihood of harm to individuals or the public.

Schuyler PD said it is encouraging anyone with information on the investigation to reach out to their office.
