PLATTE COUNTY, Neb. -- The Platte County Sheriff's Office received various calls for accidents during icy road conditions Thursday. 

The Sheriff's Office said they got their first called related to the icy conditions at 1:41 pm. This was an accident without injuries, which happened near the intersections of 48th Ave. and Hillcrest Drive, north of Columbus. 

At 1:47 p.m. the Sheriff's Office said deputies responded to a possible accident with injuries on Highway 30 in front of Behlen Mfg. Even though the vehicles had significant damage, no one was injured during the crash.

It was reported that at 1:56 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office was contacted about an accident without injuries at the intersection of Highways 81 and 22. The Nebraska State Patrol assisted and handled that accident.

At 2:30 p.m. Platte County deputies reportedly responded to a possible accident with injuries near the intersections of E 8th St. and E 32nd Ave. Even though the vehicle did roll during the crash, neither the driver nor minor passengers were injured during the crash.

At 3:54 p.m. deputies said they responded to an accident without injuries that was west of the intersection of E 8th St. and E 44th Ave. This accident involved a semi, which flipped over onto its side during the crash.

The Sheriff's Office said that at 5:02 p.m., just over an hour after the first accident at the intersection of E 8th St. and E 44th Ave., deputies responded to a vehicle in the ditch near the same intersection. This vehicle was removed from the ditch by a tow truck.

At 5:20 p.m. deputies said they responded to an accident without injuries on Highway 81 near 325th St., northeast of Platte Center. It was reported that the vehicle rolled over onto its side during the crash, and the driver was arrested and transported to the Platte County Detention Facility on the charge of no operator’s license.

Platte County Sheriff's Office also responded to a no injury accident in Columbus on 10th Ave., near the entrance to Ag Park, at 5:48 p.m. This accident reportedly did not result in any damage to either the vehicle or property.

At 6:55 p.m., the Sheriff's Office said deputies responded to an accident without injuries near 205th St. and 340th Ave., northwest of Duncan. This vehicle also rolled during the crash, but the driver was reported to be uninjured. However, he was arrested and transported to the Platte County Detention Facility on the charge of driving under the influence first-offense and failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle.
