Osceola man pleads not guilty on multiple felony charges

The Osceola man accused of getting into a shootout with Hastings Police is pleading not guilty to 10 felony charges.

HASTINGS, Neb. -- The Osceola man accused of getting into a shootout with Hastings Police is pleading not guilty to 10 felony charges. 

Thirty-three-year-old Anthony Mattison is charged with attempted second-degree murder, attempted assault of an officer, terroristic threats, two weapons violations and drug possession. 

On Tuesday, Mattison entered a written plea of not guilty and waived his arraignment, which was set for Friday. 

The charges stem from shooting back at officers on Sept. 27, but exact details on the arrest affidavit have been sealed. 

South Central Area Law Enforcement Services is investigating the incident. 

Mattison is being held on a $2 million bond. He has a pretrial set for Jan. 3, 2023 and a jury trial set for Feb. 13, 2023. 

Mattison also has two felony charges out of Hall County and a felony charge out of Platte County.
