LINCOLN - It comes as no surprise, but former Gubernatorial candidate for Nebraska Charles W. Herbster has announced support for former President Donald Trump and his announcement of once again running for president.

The former president made the announcement Tuesday night at his Mar-A-Lago resort in Palm Beach, FL. In a release, Herbster stated he was "honored to join the 45th President of the United States, and many of his close friends and family" for the announcement.

"President Trump has my full support," Herbster said. "Just as he did when he came down the escalator at Trump Tower in June of 2015. I will again work to make sure he secures the Republican nomination and wins back the highest office in the land."

Herbster was also endorsed by Trump himself in the recent Gubernatorial primary Governor of Nebraska. Trump and Herbster even held a "Save America" rally in Ashland.

Herbster stated he plans to spend the next several days attending America First Policy Institute meetings and to give feedback in discussions about the campaign for the 47th President of the United States.
