COLUMBUS, Neb -- A two-vehicle collision with injuries happened in the early hours of Monday morning near Columbus. 

The Platte County Sheriff's Office said they responded to a two-vehicle accident that happened near 205th Ave. on 325th St. 

PCSO said that when they investigated the crash, it showed that a Chevy Malibu driven by a 17-year-old female, and a Chevy Silverado, driven by a 29-year-old man, collided. 

Both drivers were transported to Columbus Community Hospital by Columbus Rescue and Humphrey Rescue. 

Another adult and two children, from the Silverado, were also taken to CCH. 

The 17-year-old was later taken to the University of Nebraska Medical Center by a medical helicopter were she remains in serious condition. 

The driver of the second vehicle and children were released from the hospital, but the other adult passenger remains in the hospital due to their injuries. 

PCSO said that seatbelt usage remains under investigation, and alcohol was not believed to be a factor.

Platte Center Fire and Rescue, Columbus Rescue and Humphrey Rescue all assisted at the scene. 

This accident is still under investigation by the PCSO.
