COLUMBUS, Neb. -- Monday morning, Columbus Community Hospital welcomed Dr. Vilma Rodriguez-Cline as a new primary care provider for Lindsay Medical Clinic.

Rodriguez-Cline received her medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. She completed residencies in family practice at the Cedar Rapids Medical Education Foundation in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha.

She has years of experience in the medical field, having worked in various health care positions in Kearney, Axtell, Norfolk and Columbus. Rodriguez-Cline has worked as a staff physician for the Norfolk VA clinic, as a medical director for a nursing home and as a family medicine physician with Faith Regional Physician Services in Norfolk. She recently worked as a physician with the East Central District Health Department/Good Neighbor Community Health Center.

“Dr. Rodriquez-Cline is an outstanding physician, and we are very fortunate to welcome her to Lindsay Medical Clinic,” said Korie Whitmore, director of clinics at the hospital. “Her vast experience in primary care and her philosophy of caring for patients is a perfect match for the community and the surrounding area.”

Rodriguez-Cline is fluent in her native language, Spanish, and will start seeing patients this month.

“Dr. Rodriguez-Cline’s background in family medicine was an excellent fit for our new medical clinic in Lindsay,” said Chantel Sempek, practice manager and physician relations representative at Columbus Community Hospital. “Her years of experience will bring expert care close to many homes in and around the Lindsay area.
