COLUMBUS, Neb. -- A Columbus Community Hospital professional is moving up.

CCH recently announced Kristin Rasmussen as the new Occupational Health Services coordinator.

Rasmussen has worked in the hospital since 2016 and has extensive knowledge of the department, according to hospital officials. She has served in a leadership role over the last several years while working on-site at Behlen Manufacturing.

“As the OHS coordinator, Kristin will serve in a leadership role for nurses and medical technicians,” said Danielle Frewing, director of Occupational Health Services. “The staff already respects Kristin, and she has proven to be a great leader within the department. She will be a great resource for our staff, taking our services to the next level while providing customer service and patient care.”

Rasmussen will continue to work the floor daily while supporting OHS nursing staff. That support includes answering questions, providing training to improve the quality of customer service and level of care, and documenting patient charting.

“I’m excited to take over this leadership role,” said Rasmussen. “My job will be to ensure things run smoothly, everyone has what they need to succeed and our customers are satisfied.”

The Occupational Health Services department offers a variety of health care programs designed to prevent and treat injuries in the workplace. OHS also offers a variety of programs and educational events to improve the health and wellness of all community members.
