COLUMBUS, Neb. -- Columbus Public Schools announced Teresa Hausmann as the next Director of Curriculum and Instruction for Columbus Public Schools (CPS).

Hausmann served the district from 1998 to 2001 as a teacher at North Park Elementary and since 2004, teaching experiences at Columbus Middle School and Centennial Elementary. Prior to joining CPS, Hausmann taught in York Public Schools and Orchard Public Schools. Currently, she serves as the district's Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment Coordinator.


Hausmann holds a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Nebraska at Kearney, a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Doane University, and a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership also from Doane University. She is endorsed in Elementary K-6, K-8 Special Education, and K-12 Administration.


Hausmann brings a wealth of experience in working with students, teachers, and administration through the continuous school improvement process, professional development, state testing, data analysis, and instructional strategies. Mrs. Hausmann has begun working with Dr. Loeffelholz to determine focus areas for the 2022-2023 school year.
