Animal cruelty complaint results in multiple charges against Fremont man

A Fremont man is in jail after a possible animal cruelty call turned into an arrest on multiple counts.

FREMONT, Neb. -- A Fremont man is in jail after a possible animal cruelty call turned into an arrest on multiple counts.

55-year-old Kelly Montanye was arrested this week.

Police in Fremont say they were sent to a home on North Park Avenue to investigate a possible animal cruelty complaint.

Over the course of the investigation, authorities say Montanye racked up a litany of charges, including resisting arrest, disturbing the peace and a felony weapon count.

Additional details of the arrest have not yet been released.
