No one injured as fire destroys rural Platte Center home

A Monday evening fire destroyed a home just outside of Platte Center.

PLATTE CENTER, Neb. -- A Monday evening fire destroyed a home just outside of Platte Center.

Platte Center Fire Chief Troy Brandt said the call came in shortly after 5:00 p.m., with Platte Center Fire and Rescue calling for mutual aid from fire departments in Monroe and Humphrey.

Brandt said the modular home was completely destroyed. He said one person was in the home at the time of the fire, though no injuries were reported.

The Nebraska State Fire Marshal is investigating.
