LINCOLN, Neb. -- Lincoln Police recovered a meth pipe, a large knife and a samurai sword during an arrest on Wednesday.

Just after 2:00 p.m., an LPD officer reported seeing a Chrysler Sebring parked near 22nd F Streets with a sole occupant inside.

Due to the vehicle’s proximity to Lincoln High School, the time of day, and the occupant remaining in the vehicle for several minutes without moving, the officer reportedly became concerned about the occupant.

The officer contacted 28-year-old Hser Htoo in the driver’s seat of the car and struck up a conversation with him, according to an LPD press release.

During the conversation, the officer determined Htoo had two outstanding misdemeanor warrants for his arrest. Htoo reportedly started reaching toward the front passenger side of the car but the officers gave him several commands to stop and exit the vehicle.

Htoo did eventually exit the vehicle and was taken into custody without incident.  A

samurai sword in a sheath with a 19-inch blade was observed concealed between the driver’s seat and the front driver’s side door.

Officers also located a silver knife with a 6 ½-inch blade partially concealed on the front passenger seat and a glass pipe in the center console.  Methamphetamine residue was located in the glass pipe, according to LPD.

Htoo was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, carrying a concealed weapon, and his two outstanding warrants.
