Three fire departments respond to Columbus house fire Saturday

Local fire authorities responded to a house fire between 6 p.m. and 6:40 p.m. Saturday night.

COLUMBUS, Neb. -- A house fire occurred in Columbus Saturday night.

Local fire authorities responded to a house fire between 6 p.m. and 6:40 p.m. Saturday night. 

Columbus Fire Department, Schuyler Fire Department and Platte Center Fire Department were dispatched to 4118 E 5th Street for the fire. 

Authorities said that the Sheriff's Office was only allowing people who lived down the street to enter, as there is no through street. 

Our NCN reporter said the house was fully engulfed. The sister of the home owner's stated that everyone in the house was able to get out. 

There is no information of any injuries or cause of the fire at this time. 

This is an ongoing investigation.
