One Dead After Nance County Car Accident

A Cedar Rapids man is dead after a car accident in Nance County.

NANCE COUNTY - A Cedar Rapids man is dead after a car accident in Nance County.

The Nance County Sheriff’s Office says the Wolbach Fire Department responded to a car accident on West Highway 22 North of 140th Avenue on Thursday morning.

On arrival, fire crews found the car on fire in a ditch.

44-year-old Steven Roan of Cedar Rapids was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation was conducted by the Nance County Sheriff’s Department and the Nebraska State Patrol.
