OKLAHOMA CITY — The Nebraska men’s basketball team made history Thursday with a dominant performance in securing the program’s first NCAA tournament win.

The #4 Huskers made 14 three-pointers and beat #13 Troy 76-47. Nebraska had lost its first eight NCAA tournament games and was the only power conference team to have never won a game at the Big Dance.

Pryce Sandfort led the way with 23 points, including 17 in the first half. NU, which has been among the best in the nation defensively, held a Troy team averaging 80 points per game to just 47.

Nebraska will play the winner of #5 Vanderbilt vs. #12 McNeese on Saturday.
