North Star holds Millard West to season low in points, wins 46-31

The Lincoln North Star girls basketball team held Millard West to a season low point total and won 46-31 in the Class A state semifinals.

LINCOLN — The Lincoln North Star girls basketball team held Millard West to a season low point total and won 46-31 in the Class A state semifinals.

The victory lifts the #1 Gators to the program’s first state title game. Millard West ends its season with a 21-5 record.

The game was tied 11-11 after the first quarter. North Star found its offense in the second and built a nine-point cushion heading to halftime. The Gators then held the Wildcats to just one point in the third quarter and cruised to the win.

Ani Leu led North Star with 17 points and 7 rebounds while K.J. Pinchon added 14 points.
