KIMBALL -- The Kimball Cheer Team took home the Class C2 Game Day Small Squad Championship and earned fourth place in Class C2 Non-Tumbling

Kimball competed in a field of 10 teams in the C2 Non-Tumbling division and 11 teams in Game Day.

Coach Carrie Tabor said the accomplishment is especially remarkable given how fresh the team is with only two years of collective competition and cheer experience.

“With a team of just four athletes (freshmen Kyndal Reich and Kloey Fraser, sophomore Emmaline Tabor, and junior Kylie Wurdeman), our Kimball cheerleaders proved they could stack up against veteran teams 2-4x their size,” Tabor said. “Despite limited experience, the young Longhorns demonstrated poise, confidence, and resilience well beyond their years.”

Tabor said the team was able to balance intense competition preparation while supporting their school at every volleyball, football, and basketball game, along with several wrestling meets.

“Their commitment to school spirit never wavered, even while preparing for one of the biggest stages of the year,” Tabor said. “When it mattered most, Kimball showed up for themselves. Their Game Day title reflects not only talent, but heart, work ethic, and a foundation that continues to build the future of Longhorn Cheer,” Tabor said.
