Brian Atkins, 27, is scheduled to appear in Cheyenne County Court Monday on three felony charges.

Atkins’ status of preliminary hearing is for Class 2A Felony Burglary and two counts of Class 4 Felony Theft by Unlawful Taking.

He was arrested in December following an investigation into the reported theft of a 2002 Honda Rubicon 4-wheeler and a black Dodge 2500 pickup.

The incident occurred in the 9000 block of U.S. Highway 30 in Cheyenne County on November 28.

A sheriff’s deputy was called to the location at about 1:15 a.m. November 28. The reporting party said his security alert was activated on his cell phone about 1 a.m.

The Dodge pickup was recovered by a sheriff’s deputy. The 4-wheeler is still missing.

An arrest warrant was issued for Atkins on December 10.
