10-year-old hits impressive shots at basketball tournament

A 10 year old boy had a rare performance this weekend in Battle Creek during a youth basketball tournament.

BATTLE CREEK, Neb.— A 10 year old boy had a rare performance this weekend in Battle Creek during a youth basketball tournament.


Braxton West was playing against Norfolk Catholic when he made one of three nearly half court buzzer beater shots.


When he did it again his mom said everyone was in complete shock.


The third and final shot came in the last three seconds of the championship game as Battle Creek was down by two. West shot the ball and to the whole gyms surprise, made the shot winning the tournament 27-26.


“For 10‑year‑old Braxton West, it may go down as one of the most unforgettable tournament performances in youth basketball history!” West's mom told NCN.” What a moment. What a memory. And what a shot… times three!”


Parents and coaches say they have never seen anything like this before.
