LINCOLN, Neb. — Gov. Jim Pillen officially filled to run for reelection as Governor of Nebraska.

According to his campaign, Pillen is seeking a second term with a major financial advantage, he raised $11.8 million since taking office in 2023.

The campaign said he has received the endorsement of President Donald J. Trump, as well as support from former and current Nebraska leaders in business, agriculture, law enforcement, and public service.

Pillen is the first farmer to serve as Nebraska governor in more than 100 years.

His administration said it has delivered more than 90% of his campaign promises, such as passing restrictive abortion legislation, cutting taxes, banning lab-grown meat, adopting policies that affect girls' sports and coordinating with Trump on border security.

The Republican primary is set for May 12.
