COLUMBUS, Neb. — As if Mother Nature had not already challenged Nebraskans enough this weekend, some residents now might have to worry about flooding.

The National Weather Service issued a flood advisory for the Loup River in parts of Platte and Butler counties.

Platte County emergency managers said the forming of ice jams resulted in minor flooding.

Residents near Camp Pawnee are particularly at risk for rising waters.

As of now, emergency managers said that only the lower-lying areas in and around of Columbus might end up being affected.
