EWING - The Lutheran High Northeast Eagles haven't been messing around lately, racking up quality wins and stringing together a seven-game win streak after defeating the Summerland Bobcats 70-42 on Thursday night.

The first quarter between the GNAC foes was tight, with the Eagles holding the 16-14 advantage. Lutheran High Northeast pulled a little further ahead at halftime, in front 29-21.

Summerland was controlling the glass in the first half, especially on the offensive end. But in the blink of an eye, that script turned on its head.

The Eagles flew around, tracking down rebound after rebound and allowed more opportunities. The outside shot started falling and Lutheran High Northeast's defense locked down Summerland to help them cruise to a 28-point win.

Ian McDonald led the Eagles in scoring with 17 points and added 6 rebounds. Dart Taylor and Gavin Feddern were also in double figures, scoring 14 and 10 points, respectively.

Ryan Rifer led the Bobcats with 10 points.

Lutheran High Northeast remains near the top in the Class D1 Power Points as they move to 8-1, while Summerland slips to 4-5.
